Symptoms of an Auditory Processing Disorder

·         Needs to have directions repeated

·         Has poor auditory sequential memory

·         Misunderstands spoken information, directions or questions

·         Is easily distracted by background noise

·         Finds some sounds uncomfortable or even painful (holds ears a lot)

·         Has trouble with auditory discrimination skills

·         Has difficulty paying attention

·         Has difficulty reading 

·         Difficulties with spelling
