How is the Music Modulated in this Auditory Training Program?

The Listening Program (TM) uses a variety of post-production capabilities to enhance and the music so that it is at its best therapeutically and provides the listener not just with a wonderful listening experience, but with an entrainment that is unlike any other auditory training program. It does so through the use of filters, Audio Bursting (TM), Spatial Surround (TM), Spatial Dynamics (TM), Dolby Headphone (TM), nature sounds and a patent-pending ABC modular Design.

Filtration:

Filtration is the process by which filters screen out (remove) various frequency bands in order to tune in and become consciously aware of those that remain drawing one’s ear to it and entrain the ear to perceive those specific frequencies.

To work on the Sensory Integration Zone, the low frequencies are targeted and all other frequencies above these are filtered out.

To work on the Speech and Language Zone, filters targeting the low and high frequencies are used to block out these sounds allowing the ear to only perceive the middle frequencies

To work on the Energy and Creativity Zone, filters block all lower and middle frequencies to allow only the high, energizing frequencies to be perceived.

Emphasizing specific frequency bands allows us to entrain the ear to tune in to certain sounds and tune out others thereby fine-tuning our listening skills.

Audio Bursting:

Audio bursting is a process by which the intensity of certain sounds are carefully increased in contrast to the sounds that aren’t. This feature allows certain sounds to relax the ear muscles, and other sounds to engage the ear muscles, promoting passive and active listening respectively. By switching back and forth between these two phases, the listener is brought to a more heightened awareness of the changing sounds enhancing entrainment of the ears. Therefore the middle ear can attenuate to loud sounds and provide its protective role while amplifying soft sounds to improve discrimination and vocal control.

Spatial Surround:

This feature is a patent-pending production process allowing each instrument to be perceived in a 360 degree sound field as richly and clearly as if the listener were in the middle of an orchestra conducting it.

Spatial Surround Dynamic:

This feature adds movement to Spatial Surround whereby the instruments are perceived to be moving in a 360 degree sound field. This provides an added level of interest to the listening experience and allows the ears to receive a heightened auditory processing training. See how well you can follow each instrument in this sound field.

ABC Modular Design

Aerobics for the Ears

The i-Listen (TM) takes auditory training a step farther enabling listeners to exercise the auditory processing system in a manner similar to an exercise program through providing “warm-up”, “work-out” and “cool-down” phases never before introduced in any auditory training program.

TLP’s patent-pending ABC Modular Design (TM) divides the workout into 15-minute modules. Within these modules, the first phase A (Accommodation) relaxes the listener and “prepares” the ear to receive the more intensive stimulation of phase B (Training). The listener is then returned to a relaxed state during the final phase C (Integration). This auditory training program is a pleasurable, enlightening experience that has been clinically proven to enhance abilities.
