i-ListenЩ and CDs:

Listening Times: Given that the brain needs the variables of frequency, intensity and duration to see the greatest benefit from auditory training, our initial program is designed to last 20 weeks, initially. All it takes with the i-ListenЩ is 30 minutes a day (two 15 minute sessions or one 30 minute session), five days a week (2 days off) to devote to re-training your childТs ears to perceive the spectrum of sound better and in doing so to re-claim their auditory processing and sensory integration capabilities. For the first 10 weeks in cycle 1, the program takes the listener from full spectrum (all the frequencies of sound) through to Auditory Training Zones 1, 2 and 3 (low (body zone), middle (speech and language zone) and high frequencies (energy/creativity zone), respectively). After 10 weeks, the program starts over again in cycle 2 in reverse order from the high frequencies to the middle, to the low and then back to full spectrum sound. No break is taken between cycles 1&2. This is a total of 20 continuous weeks and 50 hours of listening. After the initial 20 weeks, the listener is encouraged to continue listening to gain additional benefit and to work on particular zones that are still troublesome to fine-tune their listening.

Production of the Music: Countless psychoacoustic (literally, "brain-ear" or the subjective perception of sound) and neurosonic processes (specialized processes that affect or modify sound waves) are used in the production of this sound therapy program. When applied to the high definition music recordings, these processes enhance and strengthen the natural attributes inherent within the musical structure. The purpose is to provide listening training for the ear and brain bringing balance to the auditory system. High Definition (HD) - capturing more musical information and a clearer sound, Spatial Surround - providing music in 5-independent channels allowing for clear discrimination of each instrumental voice with sound also surrounding the listener allowing for better perception of spatial information and more effective auditory stimulation, Spacial Surround Dynamics - adding movement of the instruments in a 360░ sound field, Audiobursting - increasing the intensity of certain sounds in contrast to those not audio-bursted thereby stretching and relaxing the middle ear muscles to increase the listener's awareness of the event changes and strengthening the middle ear muscles, Filtering - screening out selected frequencies to bring the listener's attention to those frequencies remaining, ABC Modular Design - built into each module of music, the ABC Modular Design exercises your ear like an aerobic exercise with a warm-up, intense training and cool down, Dolby Headphone Technology - your ear and brain perceive the sound of a five-speaker home theater system, when, in fact, your are listening through stereo headphones. Dolby Headphone is a technology, not a special headphone.
